There is no doubt that Covid has created quite a bit of inconvenience in our lives, and unfortunately that has spilled over to travel and vacations. As countries and airlines work to come up with protocols to ensure safe travel for all, it is important that those traveling internationally fully understand that patience will be required more than ever. Here is what you need to know about traveling to Costa Rica at this time.
Prior to Arriving. As of November 1st, Costa Rica has opened their borders to all international travelers and eliminated their previous requirement for a negative Covid-19 test result. They are still requiring travelers purchase or provide proof of insurance covering both medical and lodging. In addition there are just some basic questions/forms that need to be filled out electronically prior to your trip. Please make sure to READ and FOLLOW all instructions from your airline.
Once you Arrive. Costa Rica still has a number of protocols in place, many which are always changing. Most likely plan to need and use masks everywhere you go, but for the most part all is running and operating. Please respect and follow any instructions locals might provide once you arrive.
Costa Rica overall is still a tremendous place to visit, even with a few restrictions in place, but it is just important to have a patent and positive attitude when dealing with travel during these times.
